Earliest

Walking feet fall,
Beats on a drum.

Acid Bath

Here in this moment
There is nothing that binds me,
I am uncertain.

Vertigo falling

As I eye up the television screen
Sometimes I feel as if I could fall, fall through it
and land in the mind of a total stranger,
Only then It would be me, and not them in that place.
As I eye up the ground from my seat in a plane,
Sometimes I feel as if I could fall, fall though it
and land in the midst of a strangers land,
Only then it would be my land, not theirs in a strange way.
As I eye up a passer-by in the street
There are times I wonder if I could fall, fall into their lives and be complete.
Only then it would be my life, without question.
My life is a highlight, my life is complimentary.
My life is a reflection, my life is satisfactory.
My life is a show reel left running.
My life, is the movie that no one’s watching.
As I eye up the person I see in this mirror,
I see a person who reminds me of me.
I see you.

The Song

Three days i spent in Salisbury.
Just out of town about one mile.
Past the police station,
Church and trains.
Until finally i arrive, a green, pale green house with white trim.
Already one day late i enter.
A jolly man greets me, and shows me around.
For some time after that i enjoyed the company of those around me.
Music all around me, one lounge and a kitchen some rooms and a court.
There to write, so i set about the task by rolling outside.
It’s summer.
Watch me, watch me turn to stone and isn’t it amazing.
Words i never thought of by myself.
I sang for a while until someone heard me.
Have you heard? And so on.

For three days... or maybe it was four, i spent singing,
As the sounds of the piano played with my guitar.
For four days or maybe even five, sat spent making music.
What are you? I'm just Skin and Bone.
Semi-professional on a farm some way out of Salisbury
I spent a couple of days.
         Playing games.
Six months down the line and I’m to spend a day in Salisbury.
The sky was less blue. The time still flew above.
Finally, relieved.
I sat up and said my goodbye.
I’ll see you soon?
... I had fun too.
Yes, Definitely.

In the Cow Feilds

 In the Cow Feilds,

The strangeness of a silent echo in my head,
Staring into the darkness of my closed eyes.
Closed are the barriers that connect me
To you, too them and to the world
Here sitting and waiting seems like forever, and ever and ever.
Soft mush beneath as I lie in the grass,
My head turns to pulp. Conscious thought escaped me long ago.
Such a shame on a day of today’s calibre!
Fibres in my coat turn against me, rub against me! Turning me on it, and it on me.
Strongly satisfying, the wind is cruel and kind, drawing to keep busy.
The sun will rise then and I will leave, maybe, I will leave.
Time and time again I will be back, maybe, I will be back.

Haunting has my place of solitude become, soothing and scalding my mind.
Twisting and treating this illness, until my fingers are numb.
Thoughts escape me again and again, they away
With no fear of reprisal, no fear of repercussion, no human regret I am helpless to stop them.
So, watching my thoughts leave as the sun rises losing myself as the world wakes up,
                                                 I am calm,
But not ready.

Camelot's Lakes

My Grandfather once told me,
Dragons hide in these hills.

I fed on these stories as a Dragon would me,
Hanging, as though on a cliff to every word.

My Grandfather once told me,
Dragons live within these hills.
I think i still believe him.
